Jets Fans Forever In Nick Mangold’s Corner

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — Football and sports fans all over the globe know of Nick Mangold from his iconic NFL-playing career on the gridiron as a center of the New York Jets. 

The former two-time All-Pro and seven-time Pro-Bowler is now seeking help as the 41-year-old recently revealed on his social media accounts that he unfortunately has kidney disease and needs a transplant.

“I always knew this day would come, but I thought I would have had more time,” he said in a statement on social media. “While this has been a tough stretch, I’m staying positive and focused on the path ahead.”

Mangold noted in the post that he doesn’t have any family members who are able to donate, so he opted to go public with the request for a donor with type O blood.

“I am deeply grateful to anyone that would consider donating,” he said.
